We're ringing in National Martini Day with a riff on the classic Vesper Martini. AMASS Dry Gin is washed with Brightland LUCID Olive Oil to give the resulting cocktail a velvety texture and bright, peppery flavor.
1.5 oz Brightland LUCID Olive Oil-Washed AMASS Dry Gin*
1 oz AMASS Botanic Vodka
0.5 oz Cocchi Americano
0.5 tsp Brightland LUCID Olive Oil and Olive, for garnish
Pour all of the ingredients into a mixing glass, add ice, and stir well. Strain into a martini or cocktail glass. Garnish with 0.5 tsp Brightland LUCID Olive Oil and Olive.
*Mix 3 oz Brightland LUCID Olive oil with 12 oz AMASS Dry Gin in a resealable container, preferably with a wide opening. Seal the container, shake it up to mix, and place in the refrigerator for 12 hours. Remove and place in freezer overnight (or for several hours) until the olive oil floating on top of the gin has firmed up. Using a fine tea strainer or coffee filter, strain the gin into another sealed container, leaving behind the plug of olive oil. Keep olive oil-washed gin in fridge and use within four months.
